Why vertical

The right blind for a wide window

Vertical blinds do the job no other blind does well. They cover a very wide or awkwardly shaped opening without sagging in the middle, and they turn to let you keep the view while losing the glare. On patio doors they part in the middle and stack back out of the way, so the door still works like a door.

Our vertical blind fitting starts with measuring the recess in three places, top, middle and bottom, and working to the tightest of them. Almost no window is truly square, and a louvre cut to the widest measurement is the one that catches on the frame every time you open it.

Fabrics and finishes

89mm or 127mm, and what goes on them

The narrower 89mm louvre suits smaller windows and busier rooms; 127mm reads calmer across a wide opening. Waterproof fabrics are what you want in a kitchen or bathroom, where an ordinary fabric will wick moisture and mark.

Before you book

The questions we get asked most, answered plainly.

Fitting is included in the price we quote, not added at the end. The quote you get after the free measure is the price you pay.

Measure the width and the drop in three places each and work to the smallest of them, because almost no recess is truly square. If you would rather not, that is what the free measure is for.

Yes. A bay needs its own measurements for each face plus the angles between them, which is exactly the sort of window worth measuring in person rather than guessing from a diagram.

Often, yes. If the headrail and carriers are sound we can replace the fabric alone, which is cheaper than a whole new blind and less waste.
